Last week our CEO, Anders Thorsted, participated in a roundtable meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister, Volodymyr Groysman.

Agriculture is big in Ukraine. More than half of Ukraine’s 60,355,000 ha land area is arable land (56,2%). That is more than 30% of EU’s total arable land acres.

As a company that is part of - and sells to the agroindustry, the ongoing developments in Ukraine are very interesting to follow, especially in light of the recent political challenges the Ukrainian people and government have been facing.

For this reason, Anders Thorsted, CEO, was glad to be invited to the roundtable meeting with the Ukrainian Prime Minister, Mr. Volodymyr Groysman, and hear him talk about the recent reform progress and present the plans for future reform initiatives.

“As a business, dealing with Ukrainian authorities and legislation can be very bureaucratic, but with new reforms on the way we hope that it will ease the process when doing business in the country. It was very interesting to hear about Ukraine’s present situation and I am sure the course of action that Ukraine has set for themselves will bring them closer to the EU and the country they want to be” says Anders Thorsted.

These new reforms are a part of the Ukrainian government’s Reform Action Plan 2017-2020 and we are very excited to follow them in their process towards reaching their goals of becoming a free and reformed country.
